Atocha Hotel Madrid, Tapestry Collection by Hilton opens today, marking the brand’s entry in Spain

Hilton (NYSE:HLT) and Panoram Hotel Management today announce the opening of their new property, Atocha Hotel Madrid, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, marking the first hotel of this brand in Spain. Tapestry Collection by Hilton is renowned for its unique style and vibrant personality and encourages guests to explore the local destination.

The first hotel in Spain of the “Tapestry Collection by Hilton” brand will offer will offer an authentic hospitality experience, with a marked sustainable character, that promises attentive, friendly, and comfortable service, where from the team members to the last detail they will distil the taste of Madrid tradition and hospitality. Located on Calle de Atocha, number 107 in Madrid, this hotel has 46 rooms between 24 and 46 m2, spread over 4 floors.

The “Atocha” experience: simplicity, comfort, and sustainability

The history of the Atocha Hotel Madrid begins in the 1940s, when the Esparto trade and crafts entered the city through the Puerta de Sur de Madrid, now Atocha station. A material (atocha means esparto) that evokes simplicity, tradition and history.

With this spirit Panoram Hotel Management and Tapestry Collection by Hilton recover the essence of simplicity, comfort and sustainability in this renovated hotel, which breathes tradition in a sustainable and pleasant way in its facilities without losing the elegance and sophistication of a Hilton property. The materials used to design the interior of the hotel, in line with history, are made up of wood, esparto grass, glass and wrought iron, as well as an impressive vegetation that brings reminiscences of the nature and simplicity of Madrid at the time. A unique artwork for which the artist Gabriela de Sagarminaga has participated.

At each step that is taken through the different rooms of the hotel, guests will be able to feel that they are walking inside a signature space, without the practical presence of plastic or stationery, and that it even replaces the foreseeable “do not disturb” sign with an attractive one. “Pompon of esparto”, symbol of the Atocha Hotel Madrid. It should be noted that the rooms in this hotel are 100% non-smoking.
